There are many external scholarships made available by government departments, business and industry groups that you may be eligible to apply for.

AgriFutures™ Horizon Scholarship
AgriFutures Australia is committed to supporting the next generation of leaders that will drive the future prosperity of Australian rural industries and communities. The AgriFutures™ Horizon Scholarship is awarded to students studying an agriculture-related undergraduate degree or a Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths/Finance (STEM) degree with relevant majors which align to agriculture.
Open to: Full time students entering their final two years of an agriculture-related undergraduate degree.
Value: $5,000 + support to undertake industry work placements, an annual professional development workshop and plenty of networking opportunities.

The Lend Fintech Scholarship 2019
Lend supports the future of small businesses in Australia by offering a scholarship to emerging finance and commerce professionals alike.  All finalists will be considered for permanent or intern employment opportunities.

Canstar Future of Finance Student Scholarship
Open to: Permanent residents or citizens of Australian enrolled as a student at an accredited Australian university. Must be over 18.

Supporting Women in STEM
At Nimble, we are proud to support female students entering the STEM field with our Supporting Women in STEM Scholarship. Nimble has always actively supported a number of local charities and we continue to seek opportunities to explore educational partnerships. Our community efforts continue to grow and these efforts include the empowerment of emerging women in the STEM field.
Open to: Female undergraduate full time in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics.
Value: 2 x $5,000 cash

Neville Bonner Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2000, the Neville Bonner Memorial Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship for Indigenous Australians to study Honours in Political Science (or related subjects) at any recognised Australian university.
Open to: Indigenous Australians of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and are accepted as such by the Indigenous Australian community in which they live or have lived. Be currently enrolled (or have been enrolled) in a course of study leading to the award of a Degree of Bachelor with majors relevant to the enrolment in an Honours year in politics or political science (or related subjects) at a recognised Australian university.
Value: Approximately $28,092 per annum

AMA Queensland Foundation Medical Scholarship
The aim of the Scholarship is to assist financially disadvantaged medical students to study the MBBS course or equivalent at a university in Queensland. 
Open to: Australian citizens, New Zealand Citizens or Australian permanent visa holders who have commenced the MBBS program at a Queensland university and can demonstrate financial disadvantage.
Value: $5,000 + Free AMA Queensland student membership for the duration of the degree.

Australian Sugar Industry Scholarship
The Australian Sugar Industry Scholarship is awarded to undergraduates (in their penultimate year of study) studying engineering (chemical, mechanical, process or electrical), science or technical disciplines at an Australian university or tertiary institution. The Australian Sugar Industry Scholarship aims to encourage the participation of high calibre students in the Australian sugar processing industry.
Open to: Penultimate year students undertaking an undergraduate engineering (chemical, mechanical, process or electrical), science or technical degree at an Australian university or tertiary institution.
Value: $2,500 + Paid work placement at industry rates and living away allowance of $250 per week.

BetaShares Student Grant
Open to: Students enrolled full-time in an accredited Australian tertiary education institution and have at least one year of study remaining to complete their degree.

RSL Queensland - Ex-Defence Scholarships
Open to: Ex-serving Defence members. Applicants are to meet eligibility criteria, including proof of service and the ability to demonstrate hardship or vulnerability due to their own or their family member's service.

RSL Queensland - Partner Scholarships
Open to: Spouses or de facto partners of current or former Defence members. Applicants are to meet eligibility criteria, including proof of service and the ability to demonstrate hardship or vulnerability due to their own or their family member's service.
Value: Up to $4,000 a year for up to three years

The Savvy Fintech Scholarship
Open to:
Any Australian or international undergraduate or master’s students studying commercial and financial fields studying either part-time or full time at university.
