There are many external scholarships made available by government departments, business and industry groups that you may be eligible to apply for.

Open to: Students undertaking courses relevant  to a career in the minerals industry.  Not only is there the monetary value (up to $15K pa at undergraduate level and up to $25K pa for PhD), there is a field trip (all expenses covered), with access to industry professionals as mentors and leadership training.

RSL Queensland Scholarships
Open to: Ex-Defence members, partners of current-serving or ex-Defence members and veteran dependants (children). Visit the website for full scholarship eligibility details, application processes and scholarship terms and conditions.

Community Bank Scholarships
Open to: Full-time students studying on campus, who are aged 25 years or younger as at 29 January 2022.

Closing date: Varies depending on the Community Bank branch specific program.

Open to: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander undergraduate or Masters students with tech-focus. Google Scholarships provide the opportunity for Indigenous students to access funds to support their studies at universities Australia-wide.

Maple Equality and Inclusion Scholarship
Open To:
Help provide people with a disability, greater access to affordable educational opportunities.

The John Monash Scholarship
Open to: Australian citizens who have completed (or nearly completed) a degree with an Australian University and be planning to undertake postgraduate study overseas commencing in the calendar year following the year of application.
Value: $75,000 per year for each year of study (up to a maximum of 3 years).

TMR Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarships
Open to: Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students enrolled full-time or part-time in an Engineering or Science related qualification that supports the transport infrastructure industry.
Value: Up to $6,000 per year financial assistance and 30 days paid vocational employment per year of your scholarship.

Jade Finance Tertiary Studies Scholarship
Open to: Full-time and part-time tertiary student who are currently enrolled in and completed 1 year of study at a recognised Australian tertiary institution or higher education provider.

Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) Scholarships
Open to: Full time undergraduate or postgraduate students with passion for underwater technologies.

WeMoney Future of Financial Wellness Scholarship
Open to: Australian Citizens, permanent residents or holders of a permanent humanitarian visa, enrolled full-time in university during the 2023-2024 academic year and studying any Business, Finance, or STEM program.

Elevate: Boosting Women in STEM

Real Futures Grant
Open to: Australian residents  enrolled full-time in an accredited Australian Tertiary Education Institution and be studying for a certificate, diploma, degree or traineeship in any of the following areas: Business – including any business-related courses from any institution, Finance - including actuarial, statistics, accounting and general finance courses, Medicine -  including medical and health sciences, surgery and medical research, Healthcare -  including health and fitness-related specialties, sport sciences, health services assistance and international health,  Specialist healthcare -  including nursing, optometry, dentistry and pharmacy.
