The launch celebrated the transformation of the former Resource Centre into a vibrant, student-focused environment that reflects JCU Brisbane's commitment to student success and wellbeing. What began in 2018 as a vision to create a more inclusive and supportive space has evolved into a central hub where students can access academic assistance, wellbeing services, careers support, student engagement activities, advocacy services, and peer connections.

The Learning Hub brings together a dedicated team delivering a wide range of services, including Student Success, Student Wellbeing, Student Engagement, Library Services, JobLinx and Employability, and the Success Squad mentoring program. Together, these initiatives provide students with the skills, tools and connections they need throughout their university learning journey.

Recent enhancements to the space include a fresh new look, updated signage, a refreshed textbook collection, an 85-inch digital display showcasing student events and activities, and weekly Connection Bites gatherings that encourage students to connect with peers and staff.

The official ribbon-cutting ceremony marked an exciting new chapter for student support at JCU Brisbane, made possible through the collaborative efforts of teams across Property, IT, Marketing and Communications, Student services and Amenities Fee allocation by the the Student Board along with the leadership and support of the campus community.

Welcome to the Learning Hub: one fresh space, more opportunities, where students can Choose, Connect, Learn and Succeed.
