Self-enrolment
The steps to enrol in your subjects are the same for each study period.
Online enrolment opens in Week 8 and closes the day before lectures commence. It is important to enrol as early as possible to secure your place in the class. You are expected to attend classes from Week 1 and attendance will be monitored throughout the duration of your studies. Be mindful of tuition fee payment dates.

Use your study plan in eStudent as a guide when choosing your subjects – it gives you a blueprint of what subjects you need to do in order to complete your degree. Most degrees will have a combination of both core and elective subjects. If your degree allows you to choose an elective subject, you can browse all JCU subjects on Subject Search. Students will receive a personalised email with recommended subject enrolment advice during the self-enrolment period before the start of each trimester.
View your Subject Timetable for the relevant Study Period, checking to see there are no clashes of class times.
Log-in to eStudent.
Go to the My Study Plans tab, then on the side menu select Study Plans.
A yellow alert may appear and will guide you through updating and confirming your details. Once all of your details have been confirmed you will be able to proceed to enrol in your subjects.
Follow these easy steps to self-enrol:
- Log into eStudent to find your study plan.
- Subjects available for enrolment are marked as Planned.
- Tick the box to select the subject for enrolment.
- Click on Enrol in Selected Subjects to proceed with the enrolment.
- Complete your enrolment by clicking on Confirm Enrolment.
Once you have enrolled, check your enrolment is correct by selecting Current Enrolment. You can now view your tuition fees in My Finances.
