JCU’s Brisbane Campus will remain closed on Monday 10 March.

Ex Cyclone Alfred has impacted many local suburbs and disrupted transport services. As a precaution, The James Cook University Brisbane campus will remain closed on Monday, 10 March, while we ensure it is safe for reopening.

Your lecturers will contact you about scheduling ‘make up’ classes as necessary.

Please look out for LearnJCU announcements from your lecturers about possible online learning opportunities.

We plan to open the campus again on Tuesday 11 March but will continue to keep you informed about campus re-opening via:

  • Announcements on the JCUB website
  • Email
  • Social media

In some parts of Brisbane, there may be fallen trees, road closures due to flooding, and power outages. Please stay safe and avoid travel unless absolutely necessary.

We are here to support you. If you need assistance, please contact your lecturer or reach out to the student counsellor at studentcounsellor@jcub.edu.au.

Up-to-date information about your suburb can be found on the Brisbane Disaster Dashboard.
