The Postgraduate Qualifying Program (Business) is a non-award course that, if successfully completed, may qualify a candidate for entry into a Postgraduate (Award) Coursework Program in the Faculty of Law, Business and Creative Arts as follows:

Master of Business Administration
-
Master of Economics
-
Master of International Tourism and Hospitality Management
-
Master of Professional Accounting
-
Master of Tourism
-
other postgraduate courses as approved by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor
Entry is available to international students only. The entry criteria are English language proficiency and academic proficiency as follows:

IELT S of 6.0 or equivalent in accordance withe the current JCU policy specifications; and

qualifications or academic record determined by the Faculty PVC to be within 12 credit points of successful completion of an equivalent relevant undergraduate Australian business degree.
Entry equivalences by country are determined by the International Student Entry Requirements Committee.
Candidates completing this program do not receive any testamur, and may not use subjects successfully completed within the program for advanced standing towards a subsequent postgraduate course.
Concurrent enrolment with postgraduate level subjects is not permitted.
Completion Requirements
12 credit points of undergraduate subjects as follows:
Core Subjects
BU1004:03 Management, People and Organisations
or
BU1005:03 Personal and Professional Skills in Business
BU2008:03 Leadership and Strategic Thinking
or
BU2010:03 Business Research Methods
Plus
6 credit points of level 3 subjects (without prerequisites) offered by the School of Business and approved by the Faculty Pro-Vice-Chancellor.
