Pre-requisites

Completion of an appropriate undergraduate degree, equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree, to an adequate standard, from this or another university; or

Other qualifications recognised by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Law, Business and the Creative Arts as equivalent to the above; or

Completion of either the Graduate Diploma or the Graduate Certificate of International Hospitality Management from this university.

Supplementary exam for final subject	A candidate who has failed the final subject towards the degree and who gained 40% or more of the marks for that subject may be granted a supplementary examination in that subject.

Advanced Standing

Eligibility	Candidates may apply for advanced standing for previous tertiary study in accordance with the Advanced Standing for Previous Studies and Recognised Prior Learning policy associated procedures.
Maximum allowed	12 credit points, unless part of an approved articulation process
Currency	Advanced standing will be granted only for studies completed in the 5 years prior to the commencement of this course.
Expiry	Advanced standing gained for any subject shall be cancelled 5 years after the date of the examination upon which the advanced standing is based if, by then, the candidate has not completed the course of study prescribed for the degree.
Other restrictions	Advanced standing will not be granted for work experience or for undergraduate study. Candidates who are granted advanced standing for either the Graduate Certificate or the Graduate Diploma of International Hospitality Management will be required to surrender that award prior to graduating with the Master of International Tourism and Hospitality Management.
