Bachelor of Communication Design or equivalent degree, from this or another university.
Entry requirements for this course are consistent with the Pathways to Qualifications in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Guidelines for Bachelor degrees.
Additional selection requirements
A minimum grade of Distinction or better in specified research-based and practice-based communication design subjects is required for candidates wishing to pursue the research major.
A minimum grade of Distinction or better in a specified practice-based communication design subject and a grade of credit or better in a specified research-based communication design subject is required for candidates wishing to pursue the practice major.
Minimum English Language Proficiency Requirements
Students of non English speaking backgrounds must have an adequate English language capacity assessed under the Australian International English Language Testing System. An IELTS score of 6.0 with no component lower than 5.5 is required (Band 1 at JCU). Students scoring below this may be offered up to six months intensive language training prior to admission to the course.
