Admission Requirements
Pass Degree Course pre-requisites | English Entry requirements for this course are consistent with the Pathways to Qualifications in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF level 7) Guidelines for Bachelor degrees. |
Honours Degree Course pre-requisites | Entry to the social work honours program requires the successful completion of 72 credit points at levels 1, 2 and 3 in the pass degree; and at least a credit grade in four level 2 or level 3 social work subjects; and at least a distinction grade in at least two level 2 or level 3 social work subjects. |
Minimum English Language Proficiency Requirements | Students of non English speaking backgrounds must have an adequate English language capacity assessed under the Australian International English Language Testing System (IELTS). The IELTS score required for admission to this course can be found in Schedule I of the JCU Admissions policy. |
Additional selection requirements | Entry into the honours degree is on invitation by the Head of School |

Students must retain a current Suitability to Work with Children Card for the duration of their course, as failure to do so will result in the termination of their admission to the course.
