Admission Requirements
Course pre-requisites | Completion of an AQF Level 7 Bachelor Degree in an arts discipline or Qualifications recognised by the Division as equivalent to that above. |
Additional selection requirements | Applicants must satisfy the requirements of the college(s) in which honours are to be undertaken to ensure that the standard of academic achievement necessary to proceed to an honours degree has been attained. |
Special admission requirements | Admission to the honours degree shall follow on directly from the pass degree and, normally, no later than five years following completion of the pass degree. Students for honours who have graduated with a pass degree from another university, or who graduated more than five years ago, may be required to complete such coursework or assessment as the College Dean recommends as a condition of entry to honours. |
Minimum English language proficiency requirements | Applicants of non-English speaking backgrounds must meet the English language proficiency requirements of Band 1 – Schedule II of the JCU Admissions Policy. |
