Professional accreditation status | Master of Engineering (Professional) majoring in Electrical and Renewable Energy and the Master of Engineering (Professional) majoring in Internet of Things and Data Engineering have full accreditation with Engineers Australia. Graduates from these majors are eligible for membership of Engineers Australia. After a period of professional practice, a graduate may apply to become a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and register under state-based schemes such as Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ). Accreditation also entitles graduates to have their qualifications recognised in countries that are signatories of the Washington Accord, and after a period of professional practice, apply for professional registration in those countries. The Master of Engineering (Professional) majoring in Technology and Management and the Master of Engineering (Professional) majoring in Water Resource Management are not eligible for professional accreditation with Engineers Australia. |

Admission Requirements
Course pre-requisites | Completion of a four-year Bachelor of Engineering at AQF Level 7 (or equivalent) in any discipline; or Completion of three years of the Bachelor of Engineering at Xi’an University of Technology (XUT) approved under the JCU-XUT Articulation Schedule only. Note: Entry for Master of Engineering (Professional) in Water Resource Management; Internet of Things and Data Engineering; and Electrical and Renewable Energy majors require completion of a four-year Bachelor of Engineering at AQF Level 7 (or equivalent) in a discipline cognate to the major or three years of the Bachelor of Engineering at Xi’an University of Technology (XUT) in an approved discipline cognate to the major under the JCU-XUT Articulation Schedule. |
Minimum English language proficiency requirements | Applicants of non-English speaking backgrounds must meet the English language proficiency requirements of Band 1 – Schedule II of the JCU Admissions Policy. |

Eligibility | Students may apply for credit transfer for previous tertiary study in accordance with the Credit Transfer Procedure Credit may be granted for the following:
Credit will only be granted for subjects aligned to the current course’s learning outcomes and if the applicant demonstrates sufficient prior knowledge and skills to achieve the course learning outcomes in the time available in the course |
