This Masterclass (Supervising for Competence in Health Equity and Human Rights, and Safe and Effective Psychology Practice) is designed for supervisors who would like to extend their skills and knowledge in supervising for competence in ethical practice, and in health equity and human rights for diverse groups and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This Masterclass draws on ethical frameworks to advance supervisors skills in this area and will include considerations for rural and remote practice. Health equity and human rights will be explored in the context of Competency 7 (a health equity and human rights approach when working with people from diverse groups) and Competency 8 (a health equity and human rights approach when working with people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, families and communities) of the new Professional Competencies. Supervision models and tools are discussed within a best-practice framework. The content is covered within the relational context of the practice of supervision. More information can be found here.
This is a live delivery online Masterclass (using Zoom) that will require you to have video and audio for the duration of the workshop. The workshop is delivered utilising a peer learning model, so bring your examples and questions along to discuss on the day.
