Synopsis: Burnout is impacting around 50% of all dental practitioners globally at any given time, impacting us across all our systems, behaviourally, physically, cognitively and emotionally. Unsurprisingly, this means that burnt-out practitioners make more mistakes than practitioners who are not burnt-out.
In the presentation, Dr Annalene Weston, Senior Dentolegal Consultant at Dental Protection explores burnout, how we get there, what it feels like, how we bounce back, and, strategies to avoid getting there in the first place.
