The 2026 Dental Impact Symposium, hosted by James Cook University's School of Dentistry, will bring together dental professionals, researchers and students to advance oral health through knowledge sharing, collaboration and innovation. Held on Thursday, 15 October 2026, from 1:00 pm to 7:30 pm at The Cairns Institute on the Nguma-bada Campus in Smithfield, the event offers up to five hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The program features keynote presentations from Dr Ann Carrington, Dr Behrooz Eftekhar and Dr Brian Finn, alongside undergraduate research lightning talks and a Rising Stars in Paediatric Case Reports Competition. Attendees can also explore research posters, engage with industry vendors, and network during afternoon tea and a closing cocktail party. The symposium aims to foster connections, celebrate emerging talent, and create meaningful impact across the dental profession.
