Public speaking is one of the most common fears people have, yet few of us get through life without needing it. Most advice focuses on technique: slow down, make eye contact, cut the jargon. Those things matter, but they aren't what keeps an audience hanging on your every word. This two-hour workshop covers the essentials, then goes a step further and asks how you can sound like your most natural self when you speak. Participants will identify their own communication style and learn to use it with confidence, whether they are presenting at a conference, giving a radio interview or contributing to a group meeting.

Participants will leave with

  • Practical strategies to manage nerves and take control before and during a talk
  • Techniques to improve clarity, pacing and audience engagement
  • A clearer sense of their own communication style and how to use it deliberately
  • Tips for different formats: presentations, media and radio interviews, and everyday group settings
  • A take-home checklist for preparing their next public talk
