Tropical Australian Academic Health Centre (TAAHC) Appoints Dr. Scott Davis as New Executive Director
The Tropical Australian Academic Health Centre (TAAHC) welcomes the appointment of Dr. Scott Davis as its new Executive Director to lead TAAHC’s transition from an establishment phase to one of growth, success, and influence.
TAAHC Interim Board Chair Helen Darch said Dr. Davis brings a wealth of experience in healthcare management, research innovation, and strategic leadership to the Centre —a perfect match for TAAHC’s ongoing mission to advance health outcomes in Northern Queensland.
“Dr Scott’s extensive experience and colleagues across regional, rural and remote health systems is uniquely placed to shepherd TAAHC into a new phase of growth”.

TAAHC’s success to date not only highlights significant advancements in research funding and collaborative partnerships in northern Queensland but also showcases the successful implementation of community-led workforce consultation programs. These initiatives underscore TAAHC’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery and outcomes in underserved areas.

About Dr. Scott Davis
Dr. Scott Davis is a distinguished leader with extensive expertise in healthcare management and translation research. His previous work has driven significant improvements in patient care and innovation in health services. He has served on Boards including CRC Northern Australia, COUCH, and Torres and Cape HHS. At TAAHC, Dr. Davis will lead the charge in expanding research initiatives and forging strategic partnerships to further enhance the centre’s impact on tropical health challenges.
