What to expect

You'll explore the design, application and evaluation of intelligent systems and big data, working through machine learning, deep learning, generative AI and responsible AI practice as you go.

Class time is spent applying what you've learned in place of traditional lecture-based delivery. The curriculum is also mapped to the Australian Computer Society's Core Body of Knowledge, drawing directly from JCU's ACS-accredited Master of Information Technology program.

This certificate stands on its own as a qualification, with the added option of advanced standing into further study if you choose to continue.

Career Opportunities

You'll be equipped to apply AI capability directly in your current role, or move into new responsibilities built around it. That might mean leading AI-enabled projects, integrating intelligent technologies into existing systems, or shaping how your organisation uses data to make decisions.

With relevant experience, some graduates move into senior technical or leadership positions, including roles focused on strategy, digital innovation or intelligent systems development.
