Security Access Card

The Security Swipe Access Card allow students access to; teaching and learning spaces, support services and recreational areas on campus.

Campus access has recently changed, so please refer to the details below.

SECURITY ACCESS CARD TO ACCESS THE CAMPUS – Fill Out Form

The card can be collected from The Learning Hub, Level 2, between 9.00am and 4.30pm. Please allow two days for processing.

Student Campus Access Hours (Monday to Friday)

7:30am – 6:00pm - The campus front entrance is open. No swipe access card required to enter the building.

6:00pm – 9:00pm – The campus front entrance will require a swipe access card.

After 9:00pm - The campus has entry limitations for students, and entry may be prohibited even with a swipe access card.

Access to internal areas (Monday to Friday)

Ground Floor – Australia Inspirational Centre - Accessible 8:30am – 5:00pm.

  • A swipe access card is required to use both the front and back entrances of the Centre

Level 2 (The LearningHub and enquiries) - Accessible 8:30am – 5:00pm.

  • No swipe access card is required during these hours.

Lift and stairwell access - With a swipe access card, students can access Levels 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9 via lifts and stairwells.

  • Level 6 accessible 9.30am to 4.00pm

Saturday and Public Holidays

7:30am – 6:00pm - Swipe access card is limited to:

  • Campus Front Entrance, Level 1, including Student Lounge and Room 104 (Computer Lab)

No student access to all other levels and areas on these days, even with a swipe access card.

Sundays and Advertised Campus Closure Days

The campus is closed.

No student access is permitted, even with a swipe access card.

Terms and Conditions

1. The Security Access Card remains the property of JCU Brisbane.
2. The Security Access Card needs to be returned immediately upon completion or cessation of studies at JCU Brisbane.
3. If the Security Access Card is lost or cannot be returned, a $25 replacement fee is payable.
4. If the Security Access Card is not returned upon completion or cessation of studies, a sanction will be applied to the student’s account preventing access to grades and academic transcripts until the card is returned or the $25 replacement fee is paid.
5. I accept responsibility for the swipe access card allocated to me and will not give or lend the card to any other person.
