Entry Requirements
Completion of an AQF level 7 bachelor degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. social work, human services, allied health, nursing, psychology, public health, education, information technology, data or health informatics, or a closely related field); or Other qualifications and/or at least five (5) years of relevant professional experience deemed equivalent by the College.

The Graduate Certificate of Digital Care is a postgraduate credential for anyone looking to develop the digital skills their sector now demands, whether you're already working in human and community services or looking to move into the field. It is available in Cairns or Townsville.
The program spans three areas: assistive technology, digital health informatics, and AI applications and ethics. Core subjects include Assistive Technology Strategies to Enable Personal Autonomy, Digital Health and Informatics in Healthcare, Foundations of Practice, and AI Applications and Ethics.
Assessments are built around applied, practical scenarios so you can connect your learning directly to your own professional context. Where available, you may also have opportunities to engage with industry partners through talking with professionals and site observations.
The credential is part of JCU's broader Human Services suite and carries credit into the Master of Human Services.
Graduates are better equipped to use digital tools, such as healthcare-management applications and social and companion robots, confidently in their existing roles, or to step into positions such as Service Coordinator, Digital Implementation Officer, Quality and Safety Officer, Assistive Technology Advisor, Tele-practice Lead, and Data and Privacy Champion.
The credential also opens doors to broader roles in organisations adopting new digital systems and ways of working, where professionals in human services with solid technical knowledge are in demand.
