Graduates from JCU’s Graduate Certificate in Health Professional Education (HPE) have specialised skills and are employed as educators in a variety of clinical and healthcare settings.
HPE is applicable to a range of healthcare settings. Graduates pursue careers in private and public hospitals, tertiary, rural and remote health services, and in community settings and clinics.
Graduates find work as educators in medicine, nursing, dentistry and all allied health professions. You could find employment as a clinical educator, supervisor or preceptor for health students.
On completion of the Graduate Certificate in Health Professional Education you may choose to go on to study the Graduate Diploma of Health Professional Education or Master of Health Professional Education.

Admission Requirements
Course pre-requisites | Registration as a nurse, doctor of medicine or other health professional in Australia; or Completion of an appropriate AQF level 7 bachelor degree in a relevant discipline with 2 years relevant experience or equivalent. |
Minimum English language proficiency requirements | Applicants of non-English speaking backgrounds must meet the English language proficiency requirements of Band 3a – Schedule II of the JCU Admissions Policy. |
