GATCF facilities within semester time are primarily for the use of students and staff. Therefore NO booking can be taken from external sources within semester time.
Outside semester time the following conditions are current
- SOE definition and imaging: Between 4 p.m. on the 24 of December and the first Monday in February at 10 am in the subsequent year no facility is available. This closure is to allow sufficient time for reimaging of all facilities in Townsville and Cairns.
- Room bookings are made through the Room Booking Officer (ext 1068) at the external room charge. Please note that external client room booking information is required before a booking can be made.
- No software can be loaded onto the local storage of the desktop units without the permission of the GATCF Manager. The installation and deinstallation by GATCF staff is at ITR external contract rates on an hourly basis.

Summer break maintenance December/January. GATCF facilities will remain available, for general access, in the Library building during Library Opening Hours as other facilities are upgraded. DA2 (HX Annex) rooms DA2-102 (HX102) and DA2-104 (HX104) will also be available for 24 hour access except for the Christmas closure period. This area will be open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday with swipe card access outside those hours. All facilities will be closed from 12pm Monday 24th December, re-opening 9am Wednesday 2nd January 2007. Updates to the replacement schedule can be found in JCU Central Computing Bulletins.
