Direct Degree Pathways

With a Diploma of Business [Pathway], you’ll begin your university studies with a course that can equip you for further study or entry-level roles in the fields of business, commerce and management.

Entry requirements

Applicants must be 18 years of age and have completed, or be completing the equivalent of three subjects in Year 11. You must also demonstrate that you have the English language proficiency required to participate effectively in the course.

With a Diploma of Tourism, Hospitality and Events [Pathway], you’ll begin your university journey with a supportive, foundational course covering the fundamentals of consumer choice, customer service and event and location management.

The Postgraduate Qualifying Program (PQP) – Business is an academic semester program designed for students whose academic qualifications are marginally below the standard entry requirements.

Upon successful completion of the PQP, students are eligible for entry to a selection of JCU’s postgraduate coursework degrees in the College of Business, Law and Governance at JCU Brisbane.

Sarina Russo Institute offers several Diploma programs that, upon successful completion, provide entry into a selection of Bachelor's Degrees at JCU Brisbane.

JCU Brisbane is partnered with UpGrad, a leading Online Education Provider that enables students to study a Bachelor’s Degree in blended mode. For example, students can study 1 year online followed by 2 years on-campus at JCU Brisbane.

English Language Pathways

Sarina Russo Institute English Language School (CRICOS Provider Code 00607B) provides a pathway into JCU Brisbane for students who do not meet the English language entry requirements. Students have the option to complete one of three English language programs that will provide a period of classes to improve English proficiency and end with an offer for a JCU degree program. Committed teaching staff provide comprehensive support to ensure students are well prepared for university study.

Sarina Russo Institute is located in the same building as the university and students will have access to the same services as JCU Brisbane students. This approach ensures a seamless transition into university.
