Lecturer and Coordinator of the Leading to Work program, Eszter Kiss, has partnered with Tangalooma Island Resort since 2016. The relationship with the Resort started through field trips to demonstrate to her students how their business management studies can operate sustainably in an ecologically sensitive area and what they’re learning is more than just theory in a classroom.

Some students have gone on to complete placements and have even found permanent positions within the Resort. Eszter often uses the Tangalooma Island Resort as a case study example for topics like sustainability, change management, HR and Leadership for her students to review.

The Tangalooma Island Resort has been the location for multiple programs and workshops over the last few years, namely a team building event for the Student Association and a leadership and mindfulness workshop for students.

Moving forward, Eszter and the Resort are in talks about extending the partnership further and offering more placements and work experience opportunities for our JCUB students. We want to thank Tangalooma Island Resort for being such an asset to our university and our students and for being such a great business to serve as partners, case studies and a venue for all our different programs.
