Learn a language in the school holidays – for free!

The Academy of Modern Languages at James Cook University is inviting young people aged 10 to 17 (grade 6 to 12) to participate in a short immersion language course.

And the best news is the course is free! 70 scholarships are up for grabs!

The course will provide students with an opportunity to enhance their foreign language competency, develop their leadership skills and increase their intercultural knowledge.

There are a range of languages to choose from including Chinese, French, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.

The free scholarships are available for students enrolled in State High Schools.

Applications for the scholarships close Wednesday 14th June.

Where: JCU Townsville Douglas campus.

Dates: Tuesday 4 until Friday 7 July 2017

Times: 9:00am to 2:00pm daily

Cost: Without a scholarship, $275 per person

Where: JCU Cairns Smithfield campus

Dates: Monday 3 until Friday 7 July 2017

Times: 9:30am to 1:30pm daily

Cost: Without a scholarship, $275 per person
