MeToo. A hypothetical Journey

The Cairns Institute is celebrating Law Week with a free public event exploring the MeToo campaign through a hypothetical scenario.

The evening will be compered by Magistrate Sandra Pearson and Naomi de Costa, Special Counsel at Maurice Blackburn Lawyers.

Using the entertaining and informative hypothetical format, a diverse panel of local experts will consider how to promote behaviour that will improve and promote gender parity in our community.

The panel members: Jules Steer, Cairns Business Women’s Club; Jesse Martin, The Streets Movement; Richie Bates, Cairns Regional Council; Casia Betros, JCU student; David Warner, Star 102.7 FM; Barry Courtney, Smithfield State High School; Ruth Venables, Anti-Discrimination Commission; Lee Stewart, JCU College of Healthcare Sciences.

Tuesday 15 May, at The Cairns Institute on the JCU campus in Smithfield, 5.30pm for a 6.00pm start.
