Student Equity and Wellbeing AccessAbility Services

AccessAbility Services

If you are studying with a documented disability, injury, illness, short or long-term health condition, including learning disabilities and mental health conditions, you can register with us.

AccessAbility Services is a free and confidential support service.  AccessAbility advisors are experience practitioners and have a professional background in Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation, Psychology and Education and have strong connections with academic, professional and support staff at JCU and within the wider community.

We understand that you may not identify your condition as a 'disability'.  However, if your health condition is impacting in any way on your studies, even if temporarily, we are here to help.

Appointments are available Monday to Friday between 9am-3pm and can be offered by phone, zoom (online video call software) or face to face on either the JCU Cairns, Nguma-bada Smithfield Campus or JCU Townsville, Bebegu Yumba Douglas Campus.
