About the Presenter

Diane Godfrey, a graduate of JCU (Townsville) in 2019, holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and was admitted to the Supreme Court QLD in 2020. Following her time in Townsville, Diane embarked on a fulfilling career in the rural community of Mount Isa, spanning 3.5 years of diverse legal practice. Her experience encompasses private practice, serving with the Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Legal Service, and pioneering online legal services in property law. Throughout her tenure, Diane traversed remote landscapes, including Mornington Island, Doomadgee, and Burketown, engaging with communities during Court Circuits. As a solicitor advocate, she appeared in the Magistrate, District, and Supreme Courts, representing clients from various socio-economic backgrounds.
