My undergraduate degree is in English and history, and I am currently pursuing my Master of Philosophy in Indigenous Studies. Through a historical analysis, my thesis will explore how contemporary non-Indigenous narratives of land impact Indigenous people's relationships with land. As a member of the north-west Queensland Aboriginal community, I aim to produce research of high quality that contributes to discussions around land rights and increases the relationship between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and land.
