Articulation Agreement

Are you a serving Australian Defence Force (ADF) member looking to advance your career with a formal business qualification?

Under an Articulation Agreement signed between James Cook University and the Australian Defence Force, eligible ADF personnel can receive advanced standing (study credit) in recognition of their military academic qualifications and professional experience, enabling members to enter JCU's Bachelor of Business* in the final year of study (Year 3). Successful application and completion of your studies can lead to a formal undergraduate degree qualification whilst studying part-time around your work commitments.

To be eligible for advanced standing under this agreement you must provide a Letter of Attestation from your Education Officer that confirms you meet all of the following criteria:

  • Achieved 2400+ hours of professional development and/or training relevant to the Bachelor of Business degree.
  • Successfully completed an All Corps Captain Course or Warrant Officer Course.
  • Have completed a minimum of four years full-time employment in the ADF in a leadership or management position.

Once you are ready to commence your application for entry into the Bachelor of Business we ask that you contact us so we can fast-track your application and waive your application fee.

*Please note, under the Articulation Agreement ADF personnel can only apply for entry into the Bachelor of Business majoring in either Human Resources Management or Management.
