Book Week

This year’s Book Week theme is Symphony of Stories! The Roderick Centre will host two fun-filled days of unforgettable adventure across our Townsville and Cairns campuses on August 27 and 28.

For high-performing readers or writers, or those simply passionate about the world of storytelling, this event, our special Book Week experience is designed to bring stories and Years 9-11 high school students together from across our community. Inspired by this year’s international book week theme, the days explores how narratives work in harmony: how certain character traits, situations and stories, set in motion, can become a
wonderful ensemble.

As well as an interactive workshop led by an award-winning, high school students will experience a taste of university life – meeting lecturers and mentors, exploring the campus and taking part in creative, collaborative storytelling.
