Visit to our rainforest observatory is a unique sensory immersion into nature within the largest continuous area of tropical rainforest in Australia. JCU offers a range of presentations, workshops, hands-on activities, and services to support students, teachers, and parents and carers through the process of understanding future career options. The 2023 Your School and Us guide provides an overview of the opportunities available for your school to get involved with JCU, including activities for:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
  • Years 7,8 and 9
  • Years 10, 11 and 12
  • Teachers
  • Schools.

The Enhanced Study Program offers high achieving Year 12 students the opportunity to extend their learning and get a head start on their tertiary journey by completing a university subject in school. Schools will be supported by the university and given all learning and assessment materials, but are required to teach the course*.

  • Semester 1
  • Years 12
  • Cairns and Townsville
  • Learning Skills: Critical thinking, creative thinking, communication, collaboration and teamwork, personal and social skills, ICT
  • Current subject available: MA1011 – Mathematical Foundations for Advanced Secondary Students.
