Definitions (Related Glossary Terms)
Policy
The University must ensure that it complies with the relevant Federal, State and Local Government taxation laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
The Financial Delegate, prior to entering into a tax related transaction, must obtain the appropriate advice and/or documentation to ensure compliance with the applicable taxation legislation.
The Chief Financial Officer must ensure compliance with Fringe Benefits Tax and Goods and Services Tax reporting requirements.
The Director, Human Resources Management must ensure compliance with Commonwealth and State taxation reporting requirements in respect of employment related liabilities
All documentation for taxation purposes must be retained and must comply with FMPM 930: Policy – Document Retention.
