Specialist Domestic and Family Violence services provide specialist, free, confidential support (24 hours by phone Australia-wide, and in person support in Townsville, Cairns, Mackay, Mt Isa, Brisbane and surrounding towns).
The Domestic and Family Violence services have specialist support workers who can assist with helping survivors with crisis support and advocacy, safety planning and implementation, court support, and counselling and therapeutic support.
The Domestic and Family Violence Services can also assist you to access support from JCU to continue studying or working if you wish. They can ensure your decisions are respected and communicated to JCU Respect Misconduct Officers. JCU Respect Misconduct Officers can also assist you to connect with the specialist services.
