Anna is a PhD Candidate researching the methane-reducing red seaweed Asparagopsis taxiformis. Her work explores the genetic diversity of Queensland populations to identify high-performing strains using DNA barcoding and Genotype-by-Sequencing.
By combining genomics, transcriptomics, and metabolomics, she aims to support commercial cultivation, inform sustainable aquaculture practices, and contribute to biosecurity and conservation strategies.
