Nicole Sallis

Nicole Sallis is a PhD candidate researching advanced reproductive technologies in barramundi aquaculture. Her work focuses on developing optimised sperm cryopreservation protocols for elite-performing barramundi lines, establishing reliable artificial fertilisation procedures using cryopreserved gametes, and investigating the molecular impacts of cryopreservation on sperm quality and offspring performance.

Her research aims to support commercial hatcheries with improved control over seedstock production and more efficient selective breeding, while contributing broader insights into gamete preservation in aquaculture.
