Unmasking the ATAR system

Differentiate your QCE from your ATAR and your QTAC and discover your university options with JCU’s Unmasking the ATAR system webinar. Aimed at Year 10 students, parents, guardians and teachers, this webinar will demystify the university entry process and prep you with everything you need to know about subject selection, ATAR calculations and university applications.

Pathways Webinar

Pursue the best path for you to study at JCU.

No ATAR? No problem.

Whether it’s been a few years since you finished school or you need a few more qualifications to meet the entry requirements for your chosen degree, there are plenty of options available for you to get into JCU.

We can also help if you’re currently in Year 12 but aren’t on track to get the ATAR you were hoping for or haven’t undertaken the subject prerequisites of your chosen degree.

Heroes in Business

JCU, in partnership with Queensland Country Bank, is giving local high school students with a passion and desire to develop a career in business, law or finance the chance to learn from industry experts.

One of our expert Academics will guide you through the process of creating, exploring and pitching a business opportunity, including the financial and legal implications. JCU Advisors will be on hand to provide information about courses and university life, and a Q&A with local professionals will be an opportunity for students to engage with and hear from professionals within those careers.

Heroes in Health

Get a sneak peek of what it’s really like to be in a healthcare career at Heroes in Health in Mackay and Rochampton. This two-day program is a joint collaboration between JCU and the Mater Hospital that offers a unique opportunity to explore Medical, Nursing and Allied Health careers.

You'll have opportunities to speak directly with health professionals including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and pharmacists about their profession in the healthcare industry and their career journeys so far.
