History of the prize
In 2025, Australasian College of Pharmacy established the first pharmacy post-graduate prize at James Cook University.
The Australasian College of Pharmacy is a member-based professional organisation that has developed and delivered tailored education and training to advance the pharmacy profession since 1976.
The College is dedicated to delivering quality education and training that empowers and strengthens the pharmacy workforce and supports the provision of safe, effective and patient-centred healthcare.

From the graduating pool of students, the College Prescribing Practice Excellence Awardwill be awarded to the student with the most outstanding performance and engagement during the Graduate Certificate of Advanced Practice and Prescribing for Pharmacists course. This prize will be awarded by nomination from course coordinator.
