Adaptors

Due to the wide range of connectors on laptops and smartphones it is recommended the user checks the availability of cables in the room to be used.

To some extent, adapters (see image below) are provided in most room installs after 1/1/2017. VGA connections are being phased out.

HDMI/USB-C and HDMI/Apple MiniDisplay adaptors are available in most AV room.

In the event your device is not compatible with those adaptors, we recommend carrying your own.

USB-c adaptor

This adapter is required where the room only provides a VGA cable connection to the AV system.

A lightning to VGA adaptor is required to connect the device to the AV system.

An MHL VGA adaptor is required to connect the device to the AV system.

A micro HDMI to VGA adaptor is required to connect such devices to the AV system

Some late model laptops are fitted with a displayport output - this adaptor can be used to connect it to a room with and HDMI cable
