Our Network
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander in Marine Science (ATSIMS) Program is an outreach initiative providing First Nations Year 10 students in North Queensland with opportunities to engage in marine science and marine management, citizen science, and the stewardship of Sea Country. We connect with several local and regional schools in the Townsville region, spanning from South in the Burdekin, North to Ingham and across the way to Palm Island. Our program curriculum is led by a range of industry leaders, and experts, and is supported by Traditional Owners, and Indigenous Land and Sea Ranger groups.
It would not be possible to do what we do without our network of supporting partners, and schools. We are grateful for their contributions and continued commitment. You can learn more about each of these organisations by clicking on the links below!
