Rusan Piya (Nepal)

My name is Rusan Piya, and I am an international student at James Cook University (JCU), Townsville campus, studying Master of Medical Science majoring in Medical Laboratory Science. I am from Nepal, with an undergraduate degree of Medical Laboratory Science. My quest for more advanced theoretical and practical knowledge had led me to join JCU and study Master of Medical Science (Medical Laboratory Science), a choice which I have not regretted for a moment.

The one of the reasons I choose JCU is due to its sterling reputation and unwavering commitment to academic excellence. The university's distinguished faculty, renowned for their expertise and innovative teaching methods, stood out from other universities.

The faculty at JCU truly embodies expertise and dedication, fostering an environment where learning transcends the classroom. Their commitment to excellence has not only deepened my understanding but also broadened my perspectives in the field. One can gain a lot from JCU. The entire team at JCU, spanning from lecturers to technical staff, are remarkably supportive.

Townsville, with its unique blend of urban convenience and natural beauty, has been my haven throughout this journey. Its essence lies not just in its landscapes but in the sense of community and warmth that resonates within its streets.

To prospective international students considering JCU, I wholeheartedly endorse embracing this enriching experience. Engage in the academic rigor, embrace the global connections, and appreciate the unique charm of Townsville. JCU isn't just a university; it's a dynamic tapestry of learning, friendship, and personal growth.
