P.F. Brownell Medal for Plant Physiology

History of the prize

This prize was founded in 1991 by the Botany staff in the College of Biological Sciences (now College of Science & Engineering) in acknowledgement of the achievements of Dr P.F. Brownell as foundation lecturer in Plant Physiology and generously supported with a donation from Dr Brownell. The prize is awarded to the Bachelor of Science (Honours) student who is deemed to have achieved an outstanding year of performance with the highest overall results in subjects whose content is primarily in the areas of plant physiology and ecophysiology.
