History of the prize
This prize was founded in 1980 and is maintained with annual donations by the Australian Psychological Society. The prize to the student (either full-time or part-time)who achieves the highest GPA at the end of either a 4 year APAC accredited program in psychology or an APAC accredited 4th year program in psychology comprising one year equivalent of study.

Awarded to the College of Healthcare Sciences student who achieves the highest overall result at the end of either a 4 year APAC accredited program in psychology or an APAC accredited 4th year program in psychology comprising one year equivalent of study.
The successful candidate receives from APS:
- A letter from the APS President recognising their academic excellence in psychology (digital)
- A certificate (digital)
- Be offered a one-year membership of the Society, for the following twelve (12) month period at no cost.
