Bruce Kapferer Prize in Anthropology

History of the prize

Professor Bruce Kapferer, now a distinguished professor in the Department of Social Anthropology in Bergen, Norway was the Foundation Professor of Anthropology at JCU between 1996 and 1999. This prize has been donated by him and awarded to the student who has completed the academic requirements for the honours programme in Anthropology and has achieved the highest result  with a Class 1 Honours for the thesis component.
