Elizabeth Perkins Prize for Creative Writing

History of the prize

This prize was founded in 2000 by colleagues, friends and former students of Associate Professor Elizabeth Perkins and the Foundation for Australian Literary Studies, Townsville and maintained by donations and interest from the prize fund. The prize is awarded to the student who achieves the highest grade in a level 2 or level 3 Creative Writing subject offered by the discipline of English, and whose creative writing includes content relevant to Australia.
