Howard Fry Prize in Southeast Asian Studies

History of the prize

This prize was founded in 1984 with an endowment from colleagues, friends and former students of Associate Professor H.T. Fry on the occasion of his retirement, to commemorate his services to teaching and research in South-East Asian History. The prize is awarded to the College of Arts, Society and Education student who obtains the highest overall result in  the subject HI2001 - The History of Global Connections.
