History of the prize

This prize was founded in 1977 by colleagues, friends and former students of Dr D.J. Farnfield on the occasion of her retirement, to commemorate her services to teaching and research in Australian History. The prize is awarded to the College of Arts, Society and Education student who obtains the highest overall result in any level 2 Australian History subject.
