Laing Exploration Mapping Prize

History of the prize

This prize was founded in 1990 by Dr Bill Laing and is maintained with donations from the College of Science, Technology and Engineering. The prize is awarded to the Earth Sciences student who exhibits exceptional talent in field geology as assessed from the compilation and presentation of a BSc Honours thesis or from a third year mapping project which forms part of the degree requirements of the Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Geology or Graduate Diploma of Science.
