History of the prize
The award was initiated by the late Mr Peter Brand who made many significant contributions to the development of pharmacy practice in both community and hospital settings. Peter founded the Queensland chain of Wesley Community Pharmacies and was a strong supporter of Pharmacy at JCU, with a strong commitment to supporting Pharmacy research. The award has continued to be supported by his son David
