Roobiny Veterinary Science Dux

History of the prize

This Prize was established in 2019 in memory of the late Dr Roobiny (Biny) Sivananthan who graduated from James Cook University in Veterinary Science in 2011. Since graduation, Roobiny Sivananthan dedicated her Veterinary Service to the North West Region of Queensland, both in Mount Isa and in the regional rural communities of, Boulia, Mornington Island, Doomadgee, Karumba and Normanton. The aim of the prize is to recognise outstanding academic achievement in the field of veterinary Science.
