History of the prize

This prize was founded in 1990 and is maintained with donations from the Queensland Branch of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute. The prize is awarded to the student who, in the opinion of the committee, has demonstrated the best performance in the level 1 Chemistry subjects(A Central Science and Chemistry: Principles and Applications), and who subsequently enrols in no less than 9 units of second year chemistry subjects within the degree of Bachelor of Science or the degree of Bachelor of Applied Science.
